Community Influencers (The Local Voice)

These groups have “weighted” influence. If they formally oppose the rezone, it gives Councilmember Saka the political cover he needs to support your request.

Morgan Community Association (MoCA)

  • Lead Contact: Deb Barker (President)
  • Role: The primary neighborhood voice for Morgan Junction. They meet quarterly and communicate directly with the City on zoning issues.

West Seattle Blog (WSB)

  • Lead Contact: Tracy Record (Editor)
  • Role: Not a decision-maker, but the most powerful communication tool in West Seattle. Reporting here often sparks wider community mobilization.
